Mrs. Cato is an English teacher at Canyon High School.  She has been teaching for over 10 years. She also studied Art in college but ultimately chose to pursue her career in English.

She studied at Texas State University for 4 years and then moved to New Braunfels, Texas, shortly after to be closer to her parents. She has a husband and a daughter, who is a junior at Canyon High School. She plans to keep her job in English for as long as she can as she said, “I’ve always had a love for English. It was something that I struggled with in high school, so for me to help these kids is a blessing, and I plan to do this for as long as I can.“ 

Another thing that she said she wants to accomplish before she retires is to teach another subject.

I want to thank Mrs. Cato for teaching me and helping me in English class. Even though we give her a hard time, she still helps with our education.
