My Go To Favortive
The teacher that I admire is Mrs. Cecconi. She teaches all grade levels of English. She has two sons. Her older son is a freshman at Texas State, and her younger son is a sophomore at Canyon. She also has two dogs, Tj and Gizmo.
Mrs. Cecconi has been at Canyon for 4 years, 2 years as a paraprofessional and 2 years as a teacher. She didn’t become a teacher until after her kids started school. Mrs. Cecconi has Bachelor’s degrees in English and History and always wanted to teach. She got the certification to teach after finishing her Master’s degree about 9 years ago. She worked as a substitute teacher and teacher’s assistant for a few years until she stopped homeschooling her kids.
One of her favorite teachers was her 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Drillock. She was an amazing teacher and person to her because she was able to connect with students in a way that let them know that she respected them and all their decisions and would listen if they had a problem. She often gave her class options about what type of projects they wanted to do and what types of books they wanted to read. She learned so much from her and knew after that year that she wanted to be a teacher and wanted to connect to students the way her 6th grade teacher did.
Mrs. Cecconi loves teaching because it is never boring and the students are amazing. Mrs. Cecconi says her students are an amazing group of kids who are an inspiration to her. She now learns things from them every day.
Mrs. Cecconi said, “Teaching is challenging because there is never enough time and too many things to do…There are no bad students. There are just teachers who don’t know how to deal with them.”
Many teachers teach their way, but she has found her own way of teaching and she does it very well. If you ever need to talk to her about something that’s going on in your life, she will sit down with you and listen to what you have to say. She is one of the best teachers I’ve had in a long time. She’s the teacher you like to have in that one dream where they are the best teacher in the world and you don’t ever have any problems with them and they are just there to help you finish school. She’s one of the best teachers you can ask for. You would be lucky if you get her as your English teacher.
