Outplay, Outwork, Outlast!

The 2022-2023 boys Lacrosse team had a wonderful season this year with the team going to the district playoffs this season. Head lacrosse coach Devan Gallagar says that, in his opinion, the boys team did really well this season. The team ended up making the district championship game but sadly lost in regulation.

The playoffs are a single elimination 2 round playoff structure, and whoever wins goes to the state playoffs where they play against the best teams in the state of Texas. With the team’s success this year, we would hope to see further success throughout the coming years. One question that could be asked is how will the graduating seniors of this year affect the team as a whole. Will they be hindered as a result? Or will they prevail and have yet another successful season just like this year.

With the 2022-2023 school year coming to a close and the lacrosse season being over, the team is already getting to work to improve for this next season. The lacrosse off-season has started early.

“These kids have been working hard to improve their skills in the off-season,” Gallagar said. This shows the amount of work and dedication to the sport that some of their athletes have. Many of them are a part of other extracurriculars, and it shows the hard working ethic that some of these kids have.

We should be looking forward to this red hot lacrosse team and having high expectations for them because of the length they went to during this season. Hopefully they end up meeting or exceeding the expectations of this year with the season they just wrapped up.
