Super Bowl LVII

Super Bowl LVII

The Super Bowl was an action-packed duel between dominant quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.

The Philadelphia Eagles finished the regular season with a 14-3 record. They went 7-2 at home and 7-1 on the road. Including the playoffs, the Philadelphia Eagles went 16-3.

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with a 14-3 record. They went 7-1 at home and 7-2 on the road. Including the playoffs, the Kansas City Chiefs went 16-3.

With an exciting first half, the Eagles put the pressure on the Chiefs with a 10-point deficit, leading 24-14. The Chiefs’ hopes were looking slim, considering Mahomes injured his ankle again as he was seen limping off the field at the end of the half. But this wasn’t the first time the Chiefs had been down before in a big game. Coming out of the half, the Chiefs drove the ball down the field to cut the lead to 21-24. With the Eagles looking to score again, they got stopped and were forced to kick a field goal to maintain the lead 27-21.

With the score tied at 35-35 in the 4th quarter with 2 minutes left, the Eagles tried to let the Chiefs score a touchdown with under two minutes left so they could get the ball back. After a defensive holding call on cornerback James Bradberry on third-and-8, Kansas City got a first down. But Jerick McKinnon slid at the 2, forcing the Eagles to use their last timeout. The Chiefs kicked a field goal to go up 38-35 , and hold the Eagles for the win.

The Chiefs won their second NFL title in four years, and two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes earned his second Super Bowl MVP award.
