From “Jeu De Paume” (Game of the palm) to Tennis, a worldwide game of determination and precision is something our tennis teams know about. Tennis season started at the beginning of the year. Our players had their most anticipated game against Steele High School. 

Coach Andrew Duong played tennis in college and worked in tennis-related jobs. Some goals he has for his team is to be ready for playoffs and to be ready for tennis post high school. 

Senior Alyssa Hooper has been on the tennis team for three years. Her motivation when playing is to have fun and win for her team. When getting ready for a game, she listens to heavy metal music. She loves her team because they are a tight knit group and are very uplifting. 

Senior Colton Rogers has been on the tennis team for four years. His motivation is his mom. Something he does to prepare for a game is sleep. He loves how fun tennis can be. Something he and his team do before a game is laugh and joke. 

These Cougars all love tennis in their own way, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to talk with our student athletes and coach about their realm.
