The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The new Mario movie was released to theaters on April 5, 2023. Since then, many have seen it, but if you haven’t you’ve probably heard of the song “Peaches” sung by Jack Black which has been a hit on the song chart ratings. The movie was adapted from the beloved video game character, Mario, who has been a staple in the gaming industry for decades. Mario is known for his iconic look (a red cap with a white “M” on it, a bushy mustache, and a blue jumpsuit. He is also known for his cheerful personality and his willingness to help others. Most importantly, Mario is known for his voice as high-pitched and cheerful, and he often says, “It’s-a me, Mario!” and “Let’s-a go.” Many fans love Mario’s accent and find it to be a charming part of his character. However, in the new movie, Mario, played by Chris Pratt, doesn’t have an accent. While many were disappointed in the vanishing of the well-known lines, the backstory and how well it was played off was impressive. During the movie, it shows that the accent is just used to enhance their ad to stir up business for plumbing. Ultimately, the producers just wanted to go with the former TV films which contain a Brooklyn accent instead of an Italian one.
