The Canyon High School Band sent 15 students to the Area Band auditions where they had the opportunity to make the All-State Band. This year, 4 students earned a spot in the All-State Band!

Gabe Ledezma placed 1st in 5A Symphonic Band and 1st chair overall. Luke Gately placed 3rd in the 6A Concert Band. Ryan Lopez placed 1st in the Symphony Orchestra and 1st chair overall in 6A. Finally, Nick Arnold placed 8th in 6A Percussion Ensemble.

These students had the honor of performing at the TMEA concerts during the TMEA convention at Lila Cockrell Theatre in San Antonio on Saturday, February 11th. 

Mr. Vaden commented, “I am proud of this group. We have worked hard and done many practices to get where we are at and accomplish what we have done.“
