This year’s bands have all earned the highest possible score, 1s, in a recent competition. This feat was achieved through the band’s diligent efforts to improve throughout the year. This also marks the first time ever in Canyon’s history that the band has achieved back-to-back 1s. 

Band director Mr. Vaden states that, while scores do tend to vary by those evaluating a band’s performance, the Cougar Band is looking the best it has for a long while, and is poised to continue its perfect streak.
