Recently, Canyon High School hosted its prom at the downtown New Braunfels convention center.I had the chance to meet and interview some of the students who attended. Most mentioned that they enjoyed the company of friends with great music and some food. 

I interviewed senior Kamryn Jasch about her thoughts, and she added, “The decorations were nice, and the music was okay. It was fun being around a lot of people, and I enjoyed my time there.” 

It was really good to hear that people were enjoying their time and overall having a great experience, but I did interview someone who wasn’t too fond of it all, and here’s what they said: “The setting was nice, but I didn’t enjoy the music, and it was crowded with everyone being around; I wasn’t able to grasp the vibe of it all due to the music.” He spoke to me promptly about the music and said it was very diverse, and I couldn’t dance to some of the rap songs. 

Although the feedback wasn’t all positive, it was really good moving forward to take criticism and change things shortly. I would like to congratulate all the seniors on a farewell and a big thank you to Canyon High School for promoting a fun event for all.
