Music has likely been around for the past 40,000 years. People created instruments to share the rhythm in their hearts. Sharing music has changed throughout time from playing live in the street to concert halls and radio then came streaming services like Spotify and Apple music.
I took the liberty of finding out the differences between Apple and Spotify by looking at their websites. Apple advertises their individual price as ten dollars and ninety nine cents. They have three different payment plans: student, individual, family, and Apple voice. They offer exclusive content like music videos and live concerts taped. They have a catalog size of 100 million songs. Lastly they allow you 100,000 downloads.
In Spotify’s individual plan, a subscriber gets 15 hours of audio book listening per month. They have five different payment plans: free with ads, individual, premium, student, duo, and family. Their individual plan is eleven dollars and ninety nine cents. Lastly, their catalog size is 250,000.
I asked ten classes which they use, Apple music or Spotify, and 66.88% of them voted for Spotify. They voted solely on which they used. Those who prefer spotify over Apple like how customizable the playlists are and the exclusive podcasts they provide. I wonder if provided with these facts they would change their minds.
Overall these two music streaming services are substantial in their own ways. Music is always a great way to lift spirits and bring people together and that is what these apps are for.
