Here at Canyon High School, both boys and girls soccer teams have been showing high success. They are built on hustle and showing school pride and strong leadership.
Soccer coaches have led these players to show many improvements throughout the year. They have strong leadership and a shared passion. They show improvement every time they step on the field. Coaches also emphasize communication and quick ball movements on the field with disciplined defense.They show a lot of teamwork, whether it is a perfectly timed goal or even a clutch save from the goalkeeper, every player has a role.
Canyon girls soccer stands out for their skill and team chemistry. They have strong communication and trust in each other. Even when they are under pressure, they still are determined to play on the field showing Cougar Pride.
Sophomore Emry Greebon on the varsity girls soccer team stated, “The teamwork helps me improve as a player with the encouragement and support from my team. By working together, it has allowed me to learn from my mistakes and helped me grow, not only as a player, but as a person.”
The team shows dedication and teamwork. Emry also stated, “The people I look up to the most on my team are the seniors. The seniors have been the most encouraging, kindhearted, engaging and overall the most amazing people I could ever ask for as teammates and friends.”
Canyon boys soccer has developed a reputation for their high energy and organized play, but what most stands out is their team chemistry. Players move with purpose, communication and trust in each other in big moments.
Freshman Houston Zarate on the junior varsity team stated, “My experience on the team is very amazing. I love everyone on my team. I look up to mostly Anders, Frank and Landon.” Houston’s strong connection with his teammates show how the team helps each other grow.Canyon soccer teams’ commitment to improvement and sportsmanship reflects the best of Canyon athletics. There are many talented students on these teams. Beyond wins and losses, Canyon High School soccer is about building character. Players learn the value of commitment, time management and perseverance. Cougar Tracks wishes the soccer teams the best of the rest of the 2026 season .
