On Friday November 21, 2025, many citizens of New Braunfels got on their brooms and flew their way towards local movie theaters to watch the new “Wicked: For Good” movie. Surely, the movie was a big hit. as I was able to watch it the day it was released.
According to many people, “Wicked: For Good” was very emotional in many ways. I saw many people in line buying tickets.I spotted a couple students from Canyon High School who I was able to get ahold of for an interview after the movie was over.
The movie shares two main characters, Elphaba and Glinda, who shape each other’s life throughout the movie. The song “For Good”, shares a strong message of friendship and how the two grew together over time. Many viewers said that towards the end of the movie it showed much emotional and happy moments.
Freshman Ava Alfaro said, “The end of the movie was my favorite because it was really sad and sweet and conclusive.”
When being asked what lesson she learned from the movie sophomore Denali Abott quoted that it, “For good was amazing. It was also emotional and sweet.”
In New Braunfels, there are three movie theaters. The most popular among Canyon High School students is Evo Cinemas in Creekside as it is rated 4.3 stars and many children and teens choose it.
Freshman Sophia Rodriguez was one who watched “Wicked: For Good” on release day, and she said, “I went to the one in Creekside, and there were a lot of people in line even though I went after school.”
In the end, “Wicked: For Good” was a phenomenal movie that many people enjoyed watching. It shared more than just songs and visuals, but also heartwarming messages about friendship and how building it is important. It was such an emotional movie that was great and reminds us how friendship in our lives can bring a lot of memories, laughs and cries, and it is all beautiful in each way.
