At Canyon High School, many students spend their time at the Creekside shopping center. The area is already home to favorites like T.J. Maxx, Five Below and Target, but recent additions have turned it into a hub for entertainment and food. New arrivals like Topgolf, Sprouts and the favored Texas Roadhouse have been a massive hit with students.
Texas Roadhouse, located on the north side of Creekside, has quickly earned a reputation for having the “best rolls in town.” Known for their buttery rolls and signature cinnamon butter, the restaurant offers everything from steaks and burgers to fresh salads. The atmosphere is just as engaging as the menu. If you visit at the right time, you might even see the staff performing their iconic line dances.
Freshman Maudie Butler is a big fan of the new addition. “Texas Roadhouse is very good and has so much flavor.” Maudie also stated “My favorite things have to be the loaded sweet potato and the burger.”,
For those looking for activity, Topgolf has become a go-to spot for friends and families to compete in a fun golfing environment. “Topgolf was a very fun experience,” said Elijah Ferniz. “I went near the opening [date] and had a great time playing golf with my brother. Not only was the game fun, but the food was delicious”
The growth at Creekside isn’t stopping any time soon. Future plans include a Chick-fil-A, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Cava. Additionally, the popular Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is expected to replace Orange Leaf.
Students are already looking forward to these new options. “The addition I’m most excited for is Chick-fil-A,” said freshman Addison Brown. “They have very good food and the workers are so sweet.”
It is great to see Canyon students enjoying these new local spots. We hope to see these businesses open soon so students can continue to enjoy fun, engaging activities and delicious food outside of school.
