Our Canyon Cougar tennis team had a great season coming out very successful, making it to bi-district playoffs and really making some noise! They did nothing less than exceed expectations and come out on top after facing adversity like injuries.

Coach Parker, our head Canyon Cougar tennis coach, has answered many of the questions we all have been wondering about. When asked why he became a coach, Coach Parker said, ”I enjoy athletics and I have an athletic background… I really enjoy the field of competition and working with the students and helping them develop as players and as athletes and trying to get them to be the best they can be at the sport they love.” He also talked more about how they faced adversity and still managed to grow and be successful saying, “Even though we had a few injuries and a few illnesses and mismatches, we didn’t have anything too large.” 

As for the players, Ella Jenkins added that even with the injuries, she felt that, “The season went amazing and wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
